Making your concept a reality…

The supervisors of The Learning Centers at MiraCosta asked for a video that would highlight everything the center had to offer and encourage potential or enrolled students to use their provided resources. This was the first video I had ever directed and worked on a production team with actors and I love how it came out!

I wanted to show the car with all its beauty and speed. I did my best to distract people from realizing it was filmed in an hour in a parking lot. This was originally supposed to be a “How To” video for my class but I decided to make it an edit and ask for forgiveness. I shot this on my iPhone using Apple log so I could do the color grading myself and the shots came out much crisper.

The premise of the project was the show/describe the feeling of the word restlessness for anyone who has this particular feeling they can see that others go through the same thing and they are not the only ones. When I began making this video my storyboard idea fell through. I didn’t know what I was going to do, I stressed out, and I literally became Restless. I instead made a video about how I felt as a person who was experiencing Restlessness.

The heads of the Academic Proctoring Center at MiraCosta asked for a video that would highlight everything the center had to offer and encourage students to use their provided resources. They wanted a video similar to The Learning Center, but a VoiceOver walk though instead. I took on the role of Director, Videographer, Casting Director, VoiceOver Actor, and Editor.

I had fun creating this video because it addresses my text animation skills in motion graphics. I used Adobe After Effects to create this and it was fun to learn a bunch of new techniques. I enjoy this kind of animation the most and I am very capable of recreating it in my work.

I created this short demo reel to show everything I can confidently create in After Effects. To prove I am capable of doing some advanced motion graphics incase a client ever asked for it.

The Career Center department at MiraCosta College needed help promoting their services since not many students knew who they were or what they do. The heads of the department had seen the videos I made in the past and they asked to hire me. I used my own style to efficiently display everything the department was looking for. It felt like an accomplishment to prove to an entire department that I have what it takes on my own to accommodated their needs.

Behind The Aesthetic” is a documentary about Will Lamb — a social media creator whose passion for health and self-improvement has inspired thousands online. But beyond the workouts, routines, and perfectly curated content is a deeper story about discipline, growth, and becoming the best version of yourself. This film explores Will’s journey, the mindset that shaped him, and the reality behind the image people see on social media. More than just a story about one person, Behind The Aesthetic is meant to inspire viewers to push past appearances, challenge themselves, and live with purpose.
